Not much to say really. Last night I had my first session in ages where I won more HUSNGs than I lost, with a nice streak of 5 games won at one point. Prior to that I’ve not been losing, but I’ve not been beating the rake either – a very round 50% ITM unfortunately. I’m still playing the $10 games, but rolled for $20s and hopefully will move back up soon – sadly no longer rolled for the $30s, and it’s going to be a bit of a climb to get back there.
Cellsino have pissed me off a bit as they’ve not paid any rakeback yet. My account there has jumped up and down a fair bit, and currently sits back at the amount I initially deposited. The rakeback however would boost that by about 30% so it’s annoying that they’re not paying up. I’ll just have to keep pestering them.
On the finding a new job I’ve still not started as one of my website development clients has a CV writing service (here’s a plug
http://www.citycv.co.uk), and she’s sorting out my CV in return for a few hours work on her site. Once I’ve got that back I’ll start firing it off – there seems to be a reasonable number of jobs in Cardiff so should be ok, although obv the economy isn’t making this the best time to jump ship. I still keep wondering whether I’m making a sensible move, especially because Cardiff seems such a random choice. If it’s all about the climbing then going to Sheffield makes more sense, but I’ve lived there and taking backward steps like that never works. Edinburgh was a possibility, but too far north and too expensive. My parents are up in North Wales, but it’d still be a 3 hour drive to get to them since it’s all hills and mountains that way. Living up there would be great for the outdoors, but there isn’t a decent city to live in at all. I learnt from that mistake when I moved from the centre of Sheffield to just outside in the peak district – all of a sudden I was completely stranded in the middle of nowhere & if I wanted to go to the pub in Shef I had to leave early because the buses were so crap. Much better to live in a city and have the countryside for the evenings and weekends if you want it (Sheffield was awesome for that really – great city and to get out into the hills was a quick 20 minute cycle!).
