Ugh – just had the most miserable session at Party Poker. The last session I had a fantastic win of almost $30, this one destroyed that with a crushing -$25
No AA’s (only 70 hands, so odds against this anyway)
14 PP’s, only hitting 1 set but board went 4 to a flush (and I didn’t have a flush card).
KK twice – table folded winning a total of $0.25
JJ 3x – twice table folded, other time two-tone flop, I bet flop and turn, the calling station hits his flush on river.
The only flush I get is beat by a full house when turn and river pair (and I didn’t slowplay!).
So that was the shitty variance side of things. Where did I make it worse?
The calling station who hit his flush – I called his river pot sized bet.
I tried a multistreet bluff on a board that had double paired (ie it was 2QQ92) – villain had called my flop bet and when the 2 landed I thought I was in good shape to represent a full house (ie having a Q or 2). Villain couldn’t fold his aces though.
Tried a semibluff on a turn card – villain had two pair and obv called, I didn’t hit my flush.
Some days are just not meant to be winning days…

Don’t bluff at 25NL or below.
Value bet your TPTK+ hands, tread carefully elsewhere.
For a bluff to work, your opponent must actually realise that you could actually have a hand. I think there’s more than a few folks at these levels who think poker is a single player game.
lol sounds like worst 70 hands of your life
