Beginning to think you’re right. I’d assumed they were a relatively safe way to rebuild my bankroll, but maybe not
They’re getting to be boring as well. Build your stack over 3000 and then fold, fold, fold. Or, don’t build your stack and get frustrated about having to last ditch shove crap against big stacks.
I might go back to cash games, and the odd MTT for fun. Try and emulate your satellite success
satellites have similar payout structure – top x players get equal amount of money. my biggest winnig so far was in sat to sunday million – $215, but it might be a little pricy – thats $3.33 rebuy tournament which means you have to pay at least $9.99 (double stack+addon). dons are terrible because of the rake.. 10cents MTTs have no rake and PS adds $50 to the prize pool, so you can win decent amount of money almost risk-free. on fulltilt there’s this awesome “daily dollar” – $10k guaranteed, bi is $1.
looks like all the “internet kids” who made it big(durrrr, phil galfond, paul wasicka..my friend who plays highstakes poker now ) won some big tournaments in the beginning of their “carreers” so MTTs>>STTs and small SNGs
too late for rakeback, already got a FT account – without rakeback! duh. Didn’t know about such things when I created the account.
I might go back there anyway for a bit – they’ve added 2NL tables and the microstakes rake is supposed to be reasonable now. Plus those daily dollar tourneys sound good. On the other hand I’ve still got the bonus lingering on PS – maybe I’ll play both sites.
Full Tilt Poker is trying to accommodate players who have previously been unable to receive rakeback. Currently they are testing a small amount of players with us and hopefully we will be able to handle more rakeback requests in the coming months. I will send your player ID to FullTilt to see if you can be considered to receive rakeback from us. If we are able to offer more players rakeback then the next step will be to wait until you get an email from Full Tilt Poker with instructions on how to receive rakeback from us.
A while ago I wrote to FT to ask to be put on rakeback, since I’d seen similar things in forums.
At first they wrote back saying I had signed up with an affiliate who didn’t offer rakeback, and they’d added my name to a list for an alternative to rakeback.
Then they wrote again, and said my affiliate *did* offer rakeback, and if I asked them I should be able to get it. But they wouldn’t tell me who the affiliate was.
I have no idea what code I used to sign up with, and FT won’t tell me (I asked a few times). So annoying….
i always thought dons have negative EV..

get back to cash…. those DoN’s a for sure -EV. Everyone knows how to play em and you just get raked out unless your winning 6/10
also if your redepositing, maybe now’s a good time to get a rakeback deal on full tilt.
(sorry for the double post)
